Are there an sexual problems that may arise for male especially? ? This is really what im seeking an answer for my husband.thanks for your support

Erectile dysfunction or problems with ejaculation in men (impotence) is a common side effect when using cipralex

Cipralex even after stopping it can stick around in the system for a very long time ,and since one of the common side effects with cipralex is erectile dysfunction and decreased lipido especially if cipralex had been taken for a long period of time

then this side effect will stay with it after the cipralex stopped and this may take a long period of time especially if it was taken for long period and larger doses .

Cipralex even though you are NOT still taking it remains in you body. It is held in the bile, is not filtered out by the liver and gets recirculated through your system. .

Sexual side effects is a side effects of being on Cipralex and it is very common to remain in the body for sometimes years especially if the liver is not functioning efficiently.

if your husband drink alcohol or a heavy drinker or taking any medication affecting the liver or any cause that may affect the liver might influence cipralex clearance and getting rid of .
If he drinks alcohol , he will affect the P 450 Cytochrome system of the liver, this cause the body to be even LESS EFFECTIVE at ridding the body of cipralex , which is acting as a toxin in your system

Any medicine or drug that may be compromising the P 450 Cytochrome system of the liver, and smoke are factors that can make toxins remain in the system.

Also you may want to try acupuncture, ask them to do a liver cleanse treatment. If you feel worse after the first few treatments, my theory is correct. As the cipralex gets released from the bile (as it keeps recirculating through the system even though you have not had any for over a year) you will feel withdrawal effects again, thus the feeling bad.
possible treatment for such condition includes :
Detox treatment or liver clearance

The liver cleanse, maybe stop drinking for a few months, anything you can do to help your liver rid your body of toxins (cipralex ) will help with the side effect of lack of sex drive and performance issues.

Try it for a few months and weigh the benefits . Milk Thistle, liver cleanses through acupuncture or other methods

let your husband put a hold on the drinking for two months and see if you notice any difference.

Initially you may feel worse as the body releases the cipralex from the liver but that will clear up and you should notice a steady improvement.
