800mg profinal &2000mg julmentin were prescribed to treat a 3 months painful armpit lump.decreased in size & pain a little but still exsiting.it looks more like fat. what to do. Who to see?
You can see a dermatologist for this - it's most likely an inflamed or infected lymph node (most likely associated with hair removal in that area), or folliculitis (inflamed hair sebaceous gland) eventually leading to lymph node inflammation. Usually this requires doing an ultrasound to better assess the lump in terms of size, contours and depth.
